Refund Policy

Last updated: 18 September 2026

If VigiLayer is not right for you, we would rather give you your money back than keep it. This page says exactly when you can get a refund and how to ask for one.

Draft for review. Fill in the [HIGHLIGHTED] date and have this checked by a qualified legal professional before publishing.

1. The short version

Fourteen days, no questions asked. If you ask within 14 days of a payment, we refund it in full. You do not have to explain why, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

2. What this covers

3. After 14 days

We do not routinely refund payments older than 14 days, and we do not refund part-used months when you cancel. Cancelling stops the next payment, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

That said, if something went genuinely wrong at our end, such as the service being unavailable for a long stretch or scans not running when they should have, contact us anyway. We will look at it properly rather than pointing at this page.

4. Your legal rights come first

Nothing here reduces rights you have under consumer law. If you are in the UK or the EU, you have statutory cancellation rights for digital services, and those apply regardless of what this page says.

Payments for VigiLayer are processed by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record. That means Paddle is the legal seller, so their refund terms also apply to your purchase, and in some cases you may deal with them directly.

5. How to ask

Email vigilayer@meltoninternational.com from the address on your account, and say which payment you want refunded. That is the whole process. There is no form.

We aim to reply within two business days. Once a refund is approved, the money goes back to the card or account you paid from, and how long it takes to appear depends on your bank, usually between five and ten days.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling is not the same as a refund: it stops future payments but does not return the current one. If you want both, cancel and then email us within the 14 day window.

7. When we might refuse

We may decline a refund where an account has been used in breach of our Acceptable Use Policy, for example by monitoring domains the account holder had no authority over. In that situation we will explain our reasoning rather than simply refusing.
